I don't seem able to post Tickers on my blog description any more (through settings) - is this something to do with the new wizard?
I copy and pasted the Ticker in HTML code as usual, it pasted ok but when saved it disappeared?
Or is it just me being thick again?

Yup, a lil while back they seem to have blocked HTML in headers now.

You put it in a HTML widget in the top of your blog.

The possibility to put HTML in the 'blog description' was removed, as it is now possible to put a HTML widget in the header with the new Design Wizard. Just drap and drop it into the header (or footer, if you wish.) 
As far as I can see HTML has only been blocked in the old design wizard, which is a bit of a bugger. The new design wizard allows such widgets, which was the main reason for me to change over.

Maybe a silly question, but after pasting the code, did you drag and drop it into the 'Header' section, and then hit 'Save'?
